Biranchi Narayan Mishra, President, OYEA under IC Scheme attended the Canton Export & Import Trade Fair Phase-III at Guangzhou, Cuttack which was held from Dt. 31.10.2018 to Dt. 04.11.2018. We are thankful to the MSME Department, Govt. of India for facilitating this first of its kind business tour to China from Odisha. The visit to Canton Trade Fair was quite fruitful as we got an opportunity to interact with more than hundreds of Manufacturers from China as well as different corners of the World. During the Trade Fair, we tried our best to explore the possibilities of bilateral trade with the Manufacturers who had participated in the Fair by showcasing their products and collected their brochures, booklets, contact and address details for future communication. We had B2B interaction and trade-related discussions with around 15 (Fifteen) Manufacturers and a couple of them also invited us to visit their production workshops. We had qualitative discussion with 2 (two) Textile Merchants from China during a Buyer-Seller Meet and they expressed their keen willingness to import handloom and handicraft products from Odisha. The Trade Fair visit was not only an eye-opener for all of us but also broadened our knowledge and business scope & outlook. We also received great insights into the Chinese way of life and why the Chinese are so advanced in every field. We once again express our sincere gratitude to the MSME Department, Govt. of India for patronizing the growth and development of MSME sector in the State as well as the Country and we urge to the whole MSME fraternity to come forward in large numbers to take part in such National and International Events. This is only the Beginning of a New Journey!!!
